She brings more than 7 years of administrative experience to the table, having worked in diverse industries throughout the years, she has developed a strong understanding of office management and the ability to adapt to the unique needs of clients and coworkers alike.
When she is not in the office, you can find her working with her husband and daughter in their music studio, helping local artists getting their music out or she can be found working on a crochet project to donate to local charities.

Britney is a part of the Investment Department as a Wealth Management Assistant, and joined the team in June 2022. Britney is a Certified Financial Paraplanner Qualified Professional (FPQP™), dedicated to helping her clients achieve their financial goals and secure their futures. Throughout her time with M. Dean Owen CPA, she has had the privilege of assisting numerous clients by ensuring their financial needs are met with utmost care and attention. Britney is also specializing in tax return preparation, and accuracy is a top priority. Cultivating strong relationships with clients is the heart of her work and is committed to delivering top-notch customer service. Beyond her professional life, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and two children. Britney also has a creative side, and enjoys sewing children’s clothing. As a devoted mother of two, Britney is committed to instilling sound financial habits in her own family and brings that same dedication to assisting our clients in achieving their financial aspirations.

Katelyn is a Wealth Management Assistant who has been with Dean Owen CPA since September 2023. She graduated from Centre College with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Economics and Finance in May of 2023. Her interest in Finance started her freshman year of college and she has been pursuing finance positions ever since then. While she was getting her degree, she had multiple internships that made her interest in Finance even more prevalent. She interned at Paducah Bank for the summer and winter breaks of 2021 and 2022 and went on to intern at a CPA firm as well. She was very involved with student activities at Centre College, which is shown by her being the Chief Financial Officer for her sorority and was a member of and the Student Manager for the Centre Women’s Soccer Team. Katelyn is very motivated to start her career in Finance and is excited to be on the team!

Jared embarked on his professional journey in hospitality management, where he honed his skills while working with award-winning hotels under renowned brands such as IHG, Hilton, Marriott, and Caesar’s. Transitioning to the financial industry, Jared gained invaluable expertise in operations and portfolio management while collaborating with independent advisors. Upon joining our team, Jared transitioned into a client-facing role as a Financial Advisor, guiding clients to make well-informed financial decisions, fostering financial literacy, and nurturing enduring relationships founded on trust and transparency. He firmly believes that financial well-being extends beyond mere numbers; it’s about enabling individuals to pursue their goals, regardless of their life stage. Beyond the financial sphere, Jared is deeply committed to his local church, actively serving as a deacon and teacher for grades 1-5, and leading multiple home groups to create a sense of belonging and support within his congregation. Outside of his work and community involvement, Jared cherishes his role as a devoted husband to Stacie and a loving father to three daughters – Lily, Eden, and Charlotte. Jason aims to set clients at ease while learning about their vision for the future, answering their investment questions, and guiding them through the financial planning process.  All while, above all, maintaining a pressure-free and low-stress environment.  He takes pride in his attention to detail, consistent follow-through, and commitment to helping clients pursue their goals. He strives to understand each client’s unique vision of financial success and then uses that vision to create individualized financial plans that address retirement income, investment management, taxation, and any other financial matters of interest. Professionally, Jason has enjoyed more than 20 years of experience in the financial services industry and has worked in both banking and financial advising. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Southern Illinois University.   When he’s not meeting with clients or studying the markets, Jason can be found cheering on the Minnesota Vikings (SKOL!), enjoying a bicycle ride with his daughter, Katie, volunteering in the community, or sometimes just enjoying a great book.  Whether you are beginning your journey toward financial independence or you’re ready to retire, Jason would be happy to lend a hand.
